Role Overview

IE University is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead its Talent & Careers Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in connecting our diverse student body with exceptional career opportunities in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to attract top-tier organizations and enterprises to IE University.
• Manage and expand a portfolio of employer partners, including conducting regular visits and fostering relationships.
• Serve as the point of contact for companies with an MBA recruitment initiative in place at Business Schools.
• Leverage alumni networks and faculty expertise to cultivate connections with the market.

Student Career Preparation

• Conduct advising sessions with MBA candidates interested in sectors within the Diversified Industries division.
• Coordinate sector-specific training and events for students interested in Diversified Industries sectors.
• Collaborate with student clubs to organize industry treks and networking events with professionals.
• Develop and deliver workshops and informational sessions about sectors and interview preparation for specific sectors or companies.
• Develop and promote career resources and educational events relevant to the sector.
• Manage and report on employment data and statistics.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:
• Master's degree.
• Experience in business development or corporate relations, minimum of 3 years.
• International experience, minimum of 2 years.
• Experience in any of the sectors within Diversified Industries is a plus.
• Prior experience working in teams, leadership experience is a must.
• Deep understanding of the job market and talent acquisition/recruitment practices.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with diverse constituency, including senior executives.
• Structured worker, with a strong sense of reality.
• Great organizational skills, being able to prioritize with a strategic mindset.

The candidate must be a professional with self-confidence, a spirit of service and a proactive and innovative attitude. Results oriented, with strong attention to processes. Highly motivated to achieve objectives, both individually and as part of a team. Ability to travel regularly and work evenings and weekends occasionally. Proven ability to create and establish external business relationships. Global mentality, being able to work with people from different backgrounds and keep an open mind to different needs and cultures. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Database management, marketing communication, and direct marketing expertise a plus.
