Job Description:

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're committed to enabling our customers to make a positive impact on a global scale. As a Senior Account Director, Business Development, you'll play a key role in securing and retaining business for our company through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities. Your primary focus will be on positioning us as a primary or preferred provider for patient recruitment services and support for clinical trials. You'll work closely with decision-makers and influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful implementation. Your expertise will be invaluable in gathering data on marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing to inform our business development strategies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate RFP strategy calls, develop client proposals, prepare client presentations, and negotiate and close contracts.
  • Makes cold calls and client visits; maintains sales database; maintains cold call and client visit activity reports.
  • Ensures client satisfaction through periodic client contact; reports and develops recommendations to address client dissatisfaction; responds to all client requests.
  • Mentors and trains junior level staff.

Job Complexity: This role involves working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. You'll need to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. As a seasoned professional, you'll have a full understanding of the area of specialization and be able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.

Business Relationships: You'll represent the department as a prime contact on projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
