About the Job
At Riverbed Technology, we are seeking an experienced Sales Renewals Specialist to join our team. This is a key role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-volume renewal quotes for maintenance contracts within 90-120 days prior to expiration and book orders as received.
- Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions.
- Propose creative deal structures and lead pricing negotiations.
- Validate customer asset lists and ensure timely maintenance renewal.
- Understand product, systems, and processes to assist in selling maintenance renewals.
- Ensure contractor/partner/customer awareness and understanding of applicable product elements.
- Assist customers with product discrepancies, including license reconciliations and audits.
- Manage customer requests for contract merges, transfers, and licenses purges.
- Field inbound calls from various sources and work to understand and satisfy requests.
- Partner with field sales to save potentially lost maintenance renewal.
- Track contract non-renewal, including reasons for cancellation.
- Prepare forecasts of maintenance renewal bookings with a 10% accuracy rate.
- Timely resolution of backlog in assigned territory.
Requirements
- Multiple years of previous experience in sales, specifically software maintenance renewals.
- Ability to negotiate and up-sell maintenance offerings and build relationships internally and externally.
- Account planning experience and involvement in alignment of sales, channel, professional services, and training teams around renewal events.
- Forecasting maintenance bookings and willingness to learn.
- Aptitude to multi-task and juggle priorities for on-time Maintenance & Support Renewals.
About the Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location
This role is based in Barcelona, Spain.
