Sd Worx is a leading European provider of Payroll & HR services with a global reach. Our goal is to bring people solutions to life, enabling companies of any size to turn Human Resources into a source of value for the business and its people.

As a Business Controller, you will work closely with the finance and business management teams to support key decisions. You will translate business topics into financials, challenge management, and provide financial planning, reporting, and analysis based on business information.

You will be in regular contact with other finance colleagues, including the local and global accounting teams, other controllers, and the billing and invoicing teams. Your role will be critical in helping the business steer in the right direction.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

  • Being the finance SPOC and key person for your scope, helping the business translate strategic decisions into financials.
  • Preparing financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive management.
  • Understanding the business model and market to challenge the business where needed.
  • Managing risks and opportunities together with your business.
  • Being the owner of the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope.
  • Story-building of actuals and challenging financials in comparison with budget, forecast, and previous year.
  • Interacting with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis, such as business cases to support management with financial decisions.
  • Initiating and contributing to continuous improvement of processes.
  • Participating in local and global initiatives, which may require occasional travel.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or similar.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, with controlling experience being a must.
  • Pro-active, critical mindset, and hands-on attitude.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to plan effectively.
  • Affinity with both business and finance.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
