We are seeking a highly motivated Group Sales Business Development Professional to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively soliciting business from various segments, including small businesses, new accounts, and past leads.
About the RoleThis position will focus on developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth for represented hotels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and relationship-building.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and potential client companies.
- Collaborate with property sales leaders to align sales efforts and drive revenue growth.
- Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to stay competitive and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using sales software and tools, such as CRM systems and sales analytics platforms.
The estimated salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
