Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Sales and Business Development to join our team at Connecting Experts. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic sales and origination efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, project sponsors, banks, and other industry players.
  • Originate and structure power purchase agreements (PPAs) and offtake agreements for renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including market intelligence, M&A, engineering, and energy trading, to analyze data and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Lead contract negotiations and energy offtake structuring for PV, wind, and storage power plants in various stages of development.
  • Support transactions in all phases, from project development to commercial operation.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in the Europe energy industry, with a focus on renewable energies (wind power, photovoltaics, BESS) and their market integration.
  • Relevant contacts in the markets to potential offtakers, project developers, project sponsors, and banks.
  • Experience in origination of power purchase agreements, including structuring and adaptation scenarios.
  • Offtake Agreement Modelling experience with different kinds of PPA's.
  • 5+ years of market experience in closing of Synthetic and Physical CPPA's in a similar leading position.
  • 10+ years of dedicated business experience in the field of this profile.
