Assistant Commercial Director Hotel - Sales and Events

Are you a sales and hospitality professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in revenue management and team leadership? We are seeking an Assistant Commercial Director to join our team at a well-known Hotel Group in Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate budgeted top line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through a successful revenue management strategy.
  • Assist with all sales strategies and actions necessary to exceed budgeted goals.
  • Maintain and exceed hotel and group standards to maximize profits and ensure outstanding guest service.
Essential Functions:
  • Oversee the Sales and Events Department and develop team action plans, forecasting and evaluating trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
  • Lead by example: assist in leading, training & mentoring group/events sales managers.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in their development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with at least 3 years as a senior manager or ADOS within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills in Spanish and English; Catalan is a plus but not required.
  • Good understanding and experience of group, corporate, leisure, and event markets and previous work experience in the Barcelona luxury lifestyle market.
