Commercial Director Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating top-line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through a successful revenue management strategy. This will involve assisting with all sales strategies and actions necessary to exceed budgeted goals, maintaining and exceeding hotel and group standards to maximize profits and ensure outstanding guest service.
Leadership and Development:
You will oversee the Sales and Events Department and develop action plans for the team, forecasting and evaluating trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively. Additionally, you will assist in leading, training, and mentoring group/events sales managers, identifying opportunities for improvement and assisting in their development.
Sales and Marketing:
You will develop and implement sales action plans for the group, corporate, leisure, and catering segments for the sales and event team, creating goal setting and reviewing both KSO's and team quarterly results. You will also support the sales portion of the annual budget and business/marketing plan, analyzing forecast, cost, and revenue reports to make sales strategy decisions.
Market Research and Analysis:
You will organize and participate in fam trips, plan and attend sales blitzes/missions for the hotel group in key markets with qualified pre-trip agendas and detailed post-trip reports. You will also attend meetings as assigned, develop and maintain market trends and competitive set data knowledge to contribute to revenue strategies, and regularly research and remain current with Sales and Marketing trends.
Reporting and Administration:
You will assist in the production of the annual hotel business plan, plan and manage sales resources according to agreed-upon budgets of the department, and lead property groups/Transient meetings to ensure revenue maximization and profit in all areas in the absence of the Commercial Director. You will also ensure that hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines are followed, manage relevant reporting of management and financial information for the sales department, and maintain fluent contact with partners to acquire new business and/or close on business and increase awareness of the hotel.
