Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our Healthcare Division and oversee the relationships with our most important Dental/Non Acute distributors in Spain and Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of major clients distributors to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics and company tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention in dental and/or medical settings.
  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Portuguese is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager (3 years of experience minimum).
  • Experience in sales with dealers and providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare sector, Dental/Non Acute preferred.
  • Consolidated experience in managing distributor/reseller.
  • A good strategical view on how to build a distributor network.
  • A true charisma is required, as the KAM needs to convince customers and create a positive dynamic with the customers.
  • Ready to travel, this is a field game and the area to cover is Spain and Portugal (up to 60%-80%).
  • Excellent negotiation skills, distributors are often strong negotiators.
  • Learning agility, the KAM will have to know perfectly our products and how to use them.
  • Good ability to create a strong and trustfully relationship with Ecolab Management Team.
  • Competencies in Analytics, Demand Management Planning/Business Planning (inventory management), Capacity Review, Marketing/Communication, and Training.

  • Knowledge of public tenders.
