Research Business Development Manager Europe: A New Entrepreneurial Role

Research Business Development Manager Europe

This is an exciting new position within Beckman Coulter Dx, where you will play a key role in creating institutional demand for our Research Use assays for neurodegenerative diseases and companion instruments. Your mission will be to establish and position our Research Use Only (RUO) assays that best align with research and core labs for drug and therapeutics discovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and pursue leads from Neurology conferences and congresses.
  • Develop the network of thought leaders in research of new neurodegenerative biomarkers.
  • Build a solid funnel of opportunities with Research Institutes, University Hospitals, and Commercial Labs across Europe.
  • Present the value proposition of RUO Neuro biomarkers from Beckman Coulter.
  • Generate proposals for customers, negotiate terms with customers, close the sales process, and get contracts signed.
  • Make the initial customer presentation and arrange technical meetings with Applications Scientists as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.

This is a self-starter role that requires keen attention to detail, ability to learn information and apply it to novel situations, and a proven track record of contribution in a team environment. You will be part of the European Sales & Marketing Organisation and report to the Senior Manager Marketing of Clinical Diagnostics.
