Purpose and Scope:

As a Strategic Account Manager at Adidas, you will be responsible for driving profitable and sustainable market share growth within assigned Strategic Accounts and categories while respecting the brand image. This role requires a strong understanding of the market, customer needs, and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To represent the assigned account(s) internally as an ambassador towards all functions and vice versa, managing all areas in scope.
  • To develop and formalize account strategies, including Strategic Account Plans, and obtain sign-off from the direct superior.
  • To sell-in and agree on sell-out support, formalizing this through Wholesale Activation Plans.
  • To monitor sell-out and the order book continuously, ensuring reliable and cost-efficient supply for the account.
  • To support negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms.
  • To work closely with cross-department teams to ensure strategy pillars are achieved in all channels/platforms (Retail, DPC, Marketing).
  • To push digital channels of the assigned Strategic Account through continuous advice on brand positioning and strategic plans that seek the success of our brand in e-commerce.
  • To drive specific sell-ins and range extensions for online.
  • To ensure best-in-class merchandising actions focused on product visualization and rankings visibility.
  • To regularly provide feedback on the respective account to the Cluster DPC team to help drive best-practice and consistency in our approach across Europe.

  • Cluster: Wholesale Activation, CtC, Customer Service, FP&A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Very good communication and negotiation abilities, as well as high presentation, relationship management, and facilitation skills.
  • High influence capability.
High analytical skills for strategy development and business planning. Commercial and business acumen knowledge (e.g., sales, trade marketing, finance, and controlling). Knowledge of the universe Digital Commerce: experience working with digital metrics and a history of leveraging these to increase sales performance. Experience with online search (e.g., SEA/SEO, On-Site search) and basic understanding of e-commerce search mechanisms. Strong decision-taking and determination, with high initiative and pragmatism to the business. Proactive mentality with curiosity and desire to learn. Dynamic, motivating, and entrepreneurial-minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines. Strongly focused on goal achievement. Fluent Spanish and English. Advanced MS Office skills. SAP knowledge is an added plus. University degree in business with sales or marketing focus. Minimum 5 years of sales experience as a Key Account Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing Key Accounts in large sales organizations, ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or Consumer Goods.
