Key Account Development Representative

SolarWinds is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Development Representative to join our team. As a Key Account Development Representative, you will play a critical role in establishing relationships with IT decision makers to identify opportunities and sell SolarWinds products and services.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the sales cadence and be able to optimize its execution. Previous experience working at a value-added reseller or distributor is a plus. You will also need to be passionate about selling and have a "can-do" attitude, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Responsibilities- Establish relationships with IT decision makers to identify opportunities and sell SolarWinds products and services
- Work diligently to prospect, qualify, and close business within assigned territory
- Educate prospective clients on products and services by conducting effective product demos
- Partner with sales engineering to conduct technical and non-technical online web product demonstrations
- Identify the best platform fit for the customer and cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, while building and maintaining customer rapport
- Strategically identify renewal, new business, channel partnership, and velocity opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A solid understanding of the sales cadence and ability to optimize its execution
- Previous experience working at a value-added reseller or distributor (channel experience)
- Prioritization of enthusiastic self-starter with a "can-do" attitude
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals by phone while achieving established sales quotas
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
