Global Sales Director for Finishing Equipment

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our US operations as Global Sales Director for Finishing Equipment. With extensive experience in the metallurgy and aerospace sectors, our solutions provide cutting-edge technologies to clients across the industry, contributing to sustainable growth in the U.S. market.
The Global Sales Director will report directly to our President, working closely to ensure alignment of local strategies with the company's global objectives. The role involves overseeing the overall management and performance of the US subsidiary, while prospecting clients and identifying potential distributors to expand our presence throughout the United States. Additionally, you will act as the main point of contact between the US market and headquarters.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement sales strategy for the US market.
- Identify and cultivate new market opportunities and partnerships.
- Prospect potential clients according to the sales strategy developed in collaboration with the company's President.
- Analyze market trends and propose strategic adaptations to maximize sales.
- Conduct active competitive intelligence to identify threats and opportunities in the US market.
- Manage and update client database.
- Oversee project follow-up actions until the equipment is operational (manage the client relationship).
- Ensure client retention (client satisfaction and follow-up).
- Support/advise clients and the sales team (initially distributors, and later on internal sales team).
- Report to management through a weekly activity report.
- Contribute to the definition of the US subsidiary's objectives.
- Attend various trade shows.
- Propose and manage communications actions.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field (industrial engineering, mechatronics) with 4-10 years of professional experience.
- Self-starter with commercial tenacity to drive the company toward new opportunities.
- Fluent English speaker. Additional language skills (French in particular) are a plus.
- Solution-oriented, team-player and self-driven individual with direct contact and focus on satisfying customers.
- Experience providing technical guidance and advice to clients based on the company's capabilities.
- Prior experience in the aeronautical and metalwork industry (deburring tumblers, precision machinery) is seen as a plus.
- Client-oriented and willing to travel (up to 3-4 days a week). Diligent, organized, and attentive to details.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.
