The Senior Sales Engineer at Corel Corporation plays a pivotal role in delivering expertise on our innovative products, particularly focusing on Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace, and the recently launched Parallels DaaS and Parallels Browser Isolation. This position is crucial during the pre-sales phase, significantly contributing to the onboarding of new customers and partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Collaboration with the sales team is essential to grasp customer requirements, conduct engaging product demonstrations, and assist in setting up Proof of Concept scenarios, effectively communicating the value of our solutions.
In a rapidly evolving market, the Senior Sales Engineer must be adaptable, quickly learning new technologies and recognizing their benefits. Beyond technical acumen, strong communication skills are vital, enabling effective collaboration with customers and partners. A sense of ownership and trustworthiness will allow the candidate to empathize with clients, translating their needs into customized solutions.
This role requires enthusiasm for conducting training sessions for partners and customers, as well as a willingness to travel to industry events to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive demonstrations of Corel products.
- Provide expert technical assistance to prospective customers.
- Oversee Proof of Concept projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with customer requirements.
- Offer guidance and expert advice on technical matters.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of Corel and competitor products.
- Develop project concepts and proposals to address customer needs.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Channel Partners to effectively utilize technical resources in sales efforts.
- Coordinate technical sales support activities for potential and existing customers.
- Plan and conduct Technical Training sessions and Webinars, both online and in-person.
- Mentor and assist in training new Sales Engineers and the sales team as needed.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years (5+ for senior roles) of relevant experience in Sales Engineering within application/desktop virtualization, security, or IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft RDS/Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, including TS/RDSH and VDI Publishing.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure solutions related to Systems, Network, and Security.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
- Ability to present product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
- Strong writing skills for creating technical documentation.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and training abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- A competitive mindset to engage with industry leaders like Citrix and VMware.
- Experience in Sales Engineering or IT Engineering roles for at least 3 years (5+ for senior roles).
- Experience in implementing and administering virtualization systems for at least 3 years (5+ for senior roles).
- Experience in cloud-based computing for at least 3 years (5+ for senior roles).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in French, Italian, or Spanish is highly desirable.
Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, with travel requirements not exceeding 20% of the time.
