The Corel Corporation Senior Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering expertise on Corel's suite of products, particularly focusing on solutions like Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace, and the recently launched Parallels DaaS and Parallels Browser Isolation. This position is crucial during the pre-sales phase, contributing significantly to the onboarding of new clients and partners.

The ideal candidate possesses a profound understanding of IT infrastructure, security protocols, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Collaboration with the sales team is essential to grasp customer needs, conduct engaging product demonstrations, assist in Proof of Concept setups, and effectively communicate the value of Corel's solutions. Given the rapid evolution of the market, the Senior Sales Engineer must be adaptable and quick to learn new technologies, understanding their benefits.

In addition to technical prowess, the Senior Sales Engineer excels in communication and thrives in collaborative environments with clients and partners. They demonstrate ownership and reliability, skillfully translating customer requirements into customized solutions offered by Corel.

The successful candidate will not only have the necessary technical skills but will also be enthusiastic about leading training sessions for partners and customers. A willingness to travel for industry events to support sales and marketing initiatives is also required.

This role is intended for candidates located within the European Union or the United Kingdom, covering customers and partners primarily in Europe and the Middle East. Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of additional languages is highly advantageous. Specifically, for this position, a strong command of Arabic is preferred due to the focus on the Middle Eastern market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive demonstrations of Corel products.
  • Provide detailed technical support to prospective clients.
  • Oversee Proof of Concept projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Offer expert guidance and recommendations on technical matters.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of Corel's offerings and those of competitors.
  • Develop project concepts and proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Channel Partners to effectively allocate technical resources for sales support.
  • Coordinate all technical sales support activities for potential and existing clients.
  • Plan and deliver a series of Technical Training sessions and Webinars, both online and in-person.
  • Mentor and assist in training new Sales Engineers and the sales team as needed.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years (5+ for senior roles) of relevant experience in Sales Engineering within similar domains such as application/desktop virtualization, security, and IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMware Horizon, Microsoft RDS, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, including TS/RDSH/Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure solutions related to Systems, Network, and Security.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Ability to deliver product demonstrations and presentations to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong writing skills for creating technical documentation.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and training abilities.

Additional Requirements

  • A competitive mindset to engage with industry leaders like Citrix and VMware.
  • At least 3 years (5+ for senior roles) of experience in Sales Engineering or IT Engineering.
  • Experience in implementing and/or managing applications and desktop virtualization systems.
  • Experience in cloud-based computing environments.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Italian, or Spanish is also highly desirable.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, with travel requirements not exceeding 20% of the time.
