Corporate Account Executive - National

Position Overview:

The Corporate Account Executive plays a crucial role in driving significant account growth within designated territories and client accounts. Success is achieved through a strategic sales approach tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of our customers. You will leverage your understanding of Landstar's diverse service offerings and technological capabilities to attract and secure new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enhance revenue streams from existing growth accounts by developing a deep understanding of their business objectives and long-term strategies.
  • Identify and onboard new clients that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers, engaging in meaningful interactions to foster loyalty.
  • Collaborate with growth agents and field sales teams to uncover business development opportunities.
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of accounts to field representatives or other Corporate Sales Executives as necessary.
  • Become an expert in Landstar's comprehensive range of services, modes, and technology.
  • Actively participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry associations to expand professional connections.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to agents and the Landstar field organization in sales initiatives.
  • Utilize available resources effectively to prospect and close new business opportunities.
  • Maintain your Salesforce database and adhere to reporting protocols as required.
  • Develop a structured sales cycle for all key accounts assigned to you.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the transportation sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting contract language.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation.
