Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team at CA Ventures. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide critical legal support to our business units and help drive our company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to our business partners on key substantive areas affecting the company, including compliance, contracts, employment, and litigation.
• Assist with compliance initiatives, including monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's key business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer-facing agreements, including service agreements, master service agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Manage contracts from inception through renewal, amendment, and termination.
• Provide legal guidance to our Human Resources team on day-to-day employment issues and employment-related agreements.
• Manage pre-litigation collections efforts, including investigations and drafting of collection-related correspondence and legal documents.
• Assist with litigation matters affecting the business units, including coordination with insurance brokers and outside counsel.

Requirements

• JD required and licensed to practice law in at least one state within the US.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in-house or as outside counsel, advising corporations in contracting and compliance matters.
• Experience working directly for, or advising as outside counsel to, publicly or privately held companies.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
