We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Corporate Counsel to join our team at CA Ventures. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide critical support to our business partners and executive team, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and advising on complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide legal counsel to internal business partners on key substantive areas, including compliance, contracts, and employment law.
- Assist with compliance initiatives, including monitoring policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's key business objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer-facing agreements, including service agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Manage contracts from inception through renewal, amendment, and termination.
- Provide legal guidance to Human Resources on day-to-day employment issues and employment-related agreements.
- Assist with litigation matters affecting the business units, including coordination with insurance brokers and outside counsel.
- JD required and licensed to practice law in at least one state within the US.
- At least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in-house or as outside counsel, advising corporations in contracting and compliance matters.
- Experience working directly for, or advising as outside counsel to, publicly or privately held companies.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
