Banquet Operations Manager

As a seasoned Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for orchestrating exceptional banquets and events at the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle's downtown. Your passion for guest service and leadership skills will be pivotal in managing and supervising the banquet floor, ensuring that all standards, procedures, and guest satisfaction objectives are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal service to all guests, adhering to hotel standards and procedures.
- Ensure a warm welcome and fond farewell for all guests, including opening doors and assisting with vehicles.
- Manage guest complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues to satisfaction and recording them.
- Assist staff members to maximize their service standards and maintain a positive work environment.
- Be aware of and report all guest complaints or comments, updating logbooks and ensuring a proper handover between shifts.
- Respect key handling procedures and adhere to schedules, terms, and deadlines as agreed with Management.
- Stay updated on the latest administrative, organizational, operational, or other changes and news, sharing daily activity highlights with the supervisor.
- Be flexible and adapt to last-minute requests through the hotel or guests, carrying out any other reasonable duties assigned by Management.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities while handling multiple tasks, colleagues, and guest requests.
- Passion for guest service, strong guest service orientation, and training skills required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a variety of hours, days, holidays, and weekends as business needs require.
- $20.50 per hour + tips.
