Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Proposals to work regionally from home. The successful candidate will lead a team in designing and developing compelling and accurate responses to client requests for proposals that align with commercial and operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team that designs and develops high-quality responses to client requests for proposals.
  • Create and review sophisticated deliverables that describe value-added differentiators.
  • Ensure integration of effective selling messages to best position company services and expertise for optimal project award.
  • Act as a proposal lead on assigned opportunities.
  • Manage staff, including interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Write and review sophisticated responses to client requests to ensure content reflects an in-depth understanding of strategy.
  • Interpret and analyze applicable data to lead opportunities.
  • Approve courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Review and approve time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.
  • Ensure effective partnership with various department teams to understand best practices and strategy.
  • Manage the development of strategic library content for client request for proposal responses.
  • Oversee provision of technical support of proposal tools.
  • Lead and implement improvement initiatives to standard practice, processes, and/or procedure within the department or cross-functionally.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
