POSITION: Clinic Sales Representative – País Vasco

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This is a sales position where the individual is responsible for servicing the current customer base, increasing sales within that base, and establishing new accounts. S/he will be responsible for effectively dealing with customer complaints and recommending consignment in accounts where necessary.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Achieve sales quota per plan by servicing the current customer base, increasing the sales volume to that base, and establishing new accounts. Complexity is moderate (territory and/or assigned accounts, products/services, sales or account management process).

  2. Has moderate authority to make sales commitments for assigned efforts and is accountable for results within established guidelines. May provide input to division-wide sales standards, practices, procedures and policies and/or tenders.

  3. Implement comprehensive sales plans to ensure increased market penetration and establishing of new accounts.

  4. Develops and maintains a good understanding of Abbott Medical therapy(ies) and product(s).

  5. Prepares reports and drafts initial conclusions/basic analysis; and performs required administrative sales duties, e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans.

  6. Maintain business operations in accordance with corporate policies in respect to pricing, quotes, credit terms, expense reporting and Quality guidelines.

  7. Follow and share the best practices guidelines before and after the sales call.

  8. Develops knowledge/awareness of competition products.

  9. Act as Company ambassador at all times i.e. represent the Company in a professional manner and with highest integrity while interacting with customers and assigned institutions, physicians and technicians, customer purchasing and administration.

  10. Proactively plans weekly travel schedule and communicate this through the appropriate channels in his/her country/division.

  11. Apply the company Account Profiling system and ensure the following basic information is incorporated in the accounts: people, their preferred behavioral styles, volume of product, competitors, local politics, decision structure including decision makers, needs, brief history, proposed minimum call frequency.

  12. Is responsible to comply with the H.C.P. guidelines.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

  1. Basic understanding of Abbott Medical (or similar) product lines and acquiring fair understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts.

  2. Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent.

  3. 2-5 years of successful sales experience within medical device industry.

  4. Well organized and accustomed to tight deadlines.

  5. Excellent personal computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.

  6. English Level: B2.

  7. Experience to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  8. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.

  9. Customer- and results- oriented, self-starter.
