Compensation and Benefits Manager Opportunity at N26

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our team in Berlin. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies that align with our company goals and support employee needs.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, People Business Partners, and Compliance to ensure our compensation cycles are managed efficiently, and our benefits programs are optimized for our global workforce. Your expertise will also be invaluable in developing and optimizing processes related to fixed and variable compensation systems, job gradings, and vendor management.

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of remuneration regulatory environments and the ability to balance business priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy. If you have experience developing rewards mechanisms from scratch, managing equity/ESOP plans, and working with Workday or similar systems, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement compensation strategies that meet business objectives
  • Manage compensation cycles, including benchmark analyses, job gradings, and vendor negotiations
  • Analyze and develop fixed and variable compensation systems
  • Optimize processes for job catalogs, compensation data management, and system efficiencies
  • Negotiate with benefits vendors to secure competitive terms
  • Develop and maintain benefits strategy, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership to manage ESOP schemes and drive one of the most competitive ESOP allocations in our market
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years' experience in a Rewards role within a growing organization
  • Experience developing rewards mechanisms from scratch
  • Proven track record in managing compensation cycles and benefits programs
  • Strong knowledge of remuneration regulatory environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with Excel/Google Sheets skills
