Job Summary

The Green Recruitment Company seeks a seasoned Renewable Revenue Strategist to drive revenue growth and commercial excellence in the renewable energy sector. This pivotal role will oversee the development and execution of robust energy trading strategies, ensuring maximum revenue optimization from solar photovoltaic projects and other renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Energy Trading Strategy: Formulate and execute a comprehensive energy trading strategy to mitigate risk and maximize revenue from renewable projects, tracking market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and conducting trading activities to optimize profit.
  • Revenue Optimization: Evaluate and maximize income from energy sales, including Guarantees of Origin and Market Access, while considering market trends and regulatory requirements, working collaboratively with various teams to implement initiatives that increase revenue.
  • Commercial Strategy Development: Design and implement forward-thinking commercial strategies to maximize revenue from solar photovoltaic projects and other renewable technologies, aligning commercial strategies with the overall objectives and commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
  • PPA Management and Contract Negotiation: Take charge of managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and lead negotiations of energy sales contracts with corporate clients and utilities, driving negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure beneficial revenue agreements for the solar projects.
  • Financial Planning, Market Analysis & Business Development: Analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and regulatory updates to uncover opportunities and challenges impacting revenue, playing a significant role in business development by identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue channels.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams like project development, finance, legal, and regulatory to support smooth execution of commercial strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish effective systems for tracking revenue performance against goals and key metrics, delivering regular and ad-hoc reports to senior management, offering insights and recommending strategic adjustments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; an MBA or Master's is preferred.
     • Over 8 years of experience crafting and implementing successful commercial strategies within the energy sector.
     • Proven expertise in managing PPAs and negotiating complex energy sales contracts.
     • Strong analytical skills to convert market insights into actionable strategies.
     • Experience in client acquisition and relationship management in the energy industry.
     • Demonstrated leadership with experience managing high-performing teams.
     • Languages: Fluent in English; additional EU language is a plus.
     • Soft Skills: Confidence and credibility with a professional presence, proactive approach to fostering a strong health and safety culture, willingness to take responsibility, provide guidance, and make critical decisions, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects under pressure, ability to achieve results through teamwork in an international, multidisciplinary setting with legal, technical, and commercial teams.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
