Job Description

As our ideal candidate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies to drive revenue growth. Key responsibilities include:

Energy Trading Strategy

Develop and implement a robust energy trading strategy to mitigate risk and maximize revenue from renewable projects. Track market trends, identify growth opportunities, and execute trading activities to optimize profit.

  • Evaluate and analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and regulatory updates to inform strategic decisions.
Revenue Optimization

Maximize income from energy sales, including Guarantees of Origin and Market Access, while considering market trends and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that increase revenue.

  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and develop targeted strategies.
Commercial Strategy Development

Design and implement forward-thinking commercial strategies to maximize revenue from solar photovoltaic projects and other renewable technologies. Align commercial strategies with the overall objectives and commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
PPA Management and Contract Negotiation

Take charge of managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and lead negotiations of energy sales contracts with corporate clients and utilities. Drive negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure beneficial revenue agreements for solar projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry experts.
Financial Planning, Market Analysis & Business Development

Analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and regulatory updates to uncover opportunities and challenges impacting revenue. Play a significant role in business development by identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue channels.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging networks and industry connections.
Team Leadership and Collaboration

Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like project development, finance, legal, and regulatory to support smooth execution of commercial strategies.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Establish effective systems for tracking revenue performance against goals and key metrics. Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to senior management, offering insights and recommending strategic adjustments as needed.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; an MBA or Master's is preferred.
  • Over 8 years of experience crafting and implementing successful commercial strategies within the energy sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing PPAs and negotiating complex energy sales contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills to convert market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in client acquisition and relationship management in the energy industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership with experience managing high-performing teams.
Language Skills

We are looking for someone who is fluent in English; additional EU language is a plus.Soft Skills
