About the Role:

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead our Cloud Services team. As a key member of our Device Service Organization, you will be responsible for defining the team's vision and goals, engaging closely with stakeholders, product partners, and customers, and managing delivery of short, medium, and long-term plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of high-caliber Software Engineers developing complex, world-class, scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Define and develop multi-tier web services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Partner with product and program management teams to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
  • Drive high operational bar, ensuring the maintenance, design, development, and delivery of multiple cloud services that support our critical functionalities in the Ring eco-system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
  • Experience managing a team of high-caliber Software Engineers developing complex, world-class, scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
