About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead our Device Service Organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering multiple cloud services that support our critical functionalities in the Ring ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Drive high availability and scalability of services, and hire and develop the best engineers to deliver features that delight our customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
  • Experience managing a team of high-caliber Software Engineers developing complex, world-class, scalable software systems.
  • Leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
