About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Lawyer to join our Legal team at Revolut Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and counsel to local management and the Human Resources team on a broad range of employment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on employment law matters, including recruitment, hiring, and employee relations processes
  • Manage and oversee employee disciplinary procedures, terminations, and grievances
  • Ensure compliance with European working time regulations and other relevant employment laws
  • Conduct internal investigations and manage leaves of absence, including maternity and paternity leave
  • Handle discrimination and harassment issues, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment
  • Advise on global mobility and contingent worker matters, including employment contracts and benefits
  • Oversee employee data protection and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations
  • Coordinate compensation, benefits, bonus, and equity awards, ensuring fairness and equity
  • Manage employment litigation, negotiated exits, and settlements, minimizing risk and ensuring best outcomes
Requirements
  • Qualified as an employment lawyer in Portugal or Spain
  • 2-3 years of post-qualified experience in employment law
  • Expertise in Spanish or Portuguese employment law
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent legal research skills and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects
  • Experience working for a global and culturally diverse organization
  • Capability to develop and foster partnerships with key stakeholders across the company
  • Passion for technology and a desire to work for a dynamic global fintech company
Nice to Have
  • Background in banking or other regulatory field
  • In-house experience in employment law
  • Experience with cross-border employment law issues in EMEA and APAC
