We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal & Compliance Counsel to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing strategic solutions to our leadership team, managing company compliance matters, and overseeing the management of contracts and dispute resolutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Proactive Legal and Compliance Advice: Offer expert guidance and counsel to support our medical device business, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and Implement Compliance Systems: Set up and improve our internal legal system, including contract management, template updates, and SOPs.
- Draft and Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution agreements, customer agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Anticipate and Address Regulatory Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and prepare the company to meet emerging opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure compliance with industry norms and requirements.
- Coordinate with External Counsel: Collaborate with external counsel on various projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Assist with Investigations and Audits: Support internal investigations and audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Implement Global Compliance Policies: Work with the International Legal & Compliance team to implement global compliance policies and procedures, including training programs and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-6 Years of Experience: PQE 5-6 years working experience in law firm or in-house.
- Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry: Familiarity with the healthcare industry is desirable.
- Fluent Language Skills: Fluent spoken and written English and French is required.
- Strong Legal and Compliance Skills: Solid legal and compliance experience, strong legal drafting skills, and commercial acumen.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively across various media and technology platforms.
