Job Overview:
MCI, a leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions, specializing in accounts receivable duties, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and information for tax accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
- Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
- Enter AR payments and credit card transactions, as needed.
- Perform month-end closing and reconciliation.
- Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
- Perform bank reconciliation.
- Support department peers as needed.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Combinations of Training and Experience.
- 2 years of accrual basis accounting working experiences, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.
- Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results.
