Mass Markets is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transaction Monitoring: Conduct regular audits to confirm the financial condition of the company.
  • Budget Preparation: Establish schedules, collect and analyze financial data, and recommend plans to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Financial Reporting: Collect, interpret, and report financial data to provide a clear picture of the company's financial status.
  • Special Reports: Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to provide valuable insights to management.
  • Bank Deposits and Financial Results: Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results to management on a regular basis.
  • Financial Statement Development: Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable: Process accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner and handle payroll responsibilities.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Financial Staff Management: Recruit, select, orient, train, coach, counsel, and discipline financial staff members.
  • Asset, Liability, Revenue, and Expense Entries: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Subsidiary Account Maintenance: Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Financial Statement Summarization: Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Produce payroll by initiating computer processing, printing checks, initiating direct deposit, and verifying finished product.
  • Financial Information Security: Secure financial information by maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Ledger Maintenance: Balance and maintain accurate ledgers.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of work experience as a bookkeeper or in a related field is preferred.
  • General Bookkeeping Experience: General bookkeeping, AR or AP experience is welcome.
  • Regular Attendance: Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills are required, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management: Demonstrates the ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills are required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
  • Relationship Building: Experience building successful working relationships with C-level executives is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Prior knowledge and experience of QuickBooks and ADP are desired.
  • Self-Motivation: Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
