Overview

At West Coast Personnel, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will excel at servicing existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management: Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts through effective planning and organization of daily schedules.
  2. Merchandising: Create engaging product displays to stimulate customer interest and drive sales.
  3. Sales Presentations: Tailor sales presentations based on the specific needs of different sales outlets and trade factors.
  4. Market Analysis: Analyse existing and potential sales volumes to focus sales efforts effectively.
  5. Order Management: Submit orders by referencing price lists and product literature.
  6. Reporting: Keep management informed by providing daily call reports, weekly plans, and comprehensive territory analyses.
  7. Competitive Monitoring: Gather marketplace information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques to stay competitive.
  8. Problem Solving: Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations.
  9. Continuous Learning: Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
  10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate sales records and contribute to team objectives.
Requirements
  1. Own Transport: Must have a reliable vehicle for daily travel.
  2. Strong Time Management Abilities: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  3. Team Motivation Skills: Ability to motivate and support team members to achieve goals.
  4. Excellent Customer Service Orientation: Provide exceptional customer service to build strong relationships and drive sales.

  7. Strong Prospecting and Negotiation Skills: Ability to prospect for new business opportunities and negotiate effectively.
  8. High Self-Confidence and Motivation for Sales: Self-motivated and confident in ability to meet sales targets.
  9. In-Depth Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of products and services offered.
  10. Outstanding Presentation and Client Relationship Skills: Ability to present products effectively and build strong client relationships.
