We are seeking an exceptional Luxury Resort Operations Director to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca. Located on 3 hectares of cliff tops and gardens, this stunning resort offers unparalleled access to two coves surrounded by crystalline waters.

As a Luxury Resort Operations Director, you will oversee the overall resort operation, providing professional advisory and executive support to the General Manager. Your primary duties will include:

  • Formulating and implementing operational strategies to ensure consistent guest services, colleague productivity, and safety while driving continuous improvement.
  • Executing all operational and strategic initiatives, providing feedback and alternatives.
  • Developing colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and general communications, using appraisal formats such as the Balanced Score Card to engage in feedback and goal setting.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, maintaining awareness of competitors' offerings.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing annual budgets and CAPEX plans, analysing P&L statements and implementing strategies to increase room yield and RevPar.
  • Ensuring a focus on quality assessments, particularly supporting local LQE initiatives.
  • Orchestrating and directing the annual Safe & Sound Audit conducted by third-party experts engaged by MOHG.
  • Chairing monthly Risk Management Committee meetings to ensure full compliance across departments.
  • Growing and improving sustainability, as measured by the FLHSSE.
  • Establishing and managing the annual CAPEX plan and budget, researching and recommending best practices and equipment according to corporate guidelines.
  • Overseeing the strategic direction of general projects related to enhancing the hotel.

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is set to open in Spring 2025, offering 131 guestrooms, including 44 suites and nine bungalows with private panoramic plunge pools. The resort features a comprehensive Spa, indoor swimming pool, three outdoor pools, and access to water sports and a Children's Club.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in luxury resort operations. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
