British American Tobacco Spain is seeking a highly skilled HR Rewards & Payroll Manager - Iberia to join our team in Madrid.

This role is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Financial & HR Controlling activity across Spain & Portugal.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring total rewards strategies are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals, internal framework, and local legislation.
  • Participating in the preparation of the quarterly and annual company and departmental salary budgets for employment costs forecast. P&L deviation analysis and accruals.
  • Analyzing and developing comprehensive total reward programs, including base pay, incentives, benefits, and recognition programs according to internal policies in collaboration with external providers.
  • Running the merit increase process and non-fixed salary calculation: bonus, commissions, long-term incentives ensuring clarity and fairness aligned with company policies.
  • Developing guidelines and tools for managers to effectively conduct performance reviews and merit assessments.
  • Communicating total rewards programs to employees, ensuring understanding and engagement.
  • Staying updated on compensation and benefits trends, laws, and best practices.
  • Coordinating executive compensation plans, including short- and long-term incentive plans.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Collaborating with external service providers to oversee payroll and benefits administration. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, tax compliance, and administration of employee benefits programs.
  • HRIS/HRM Management: Maintaining the company's HRIS/HRM system ensuring the accurate and efficient capture, storage, retrieval, and reporting of employee data and information.
  • HR Data and Analytics: Monitoring, consolidating, and reporting on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee engagement scores, Org charts, and diversity metrics.
  • Labor Law: Managing and coordinating labor relations across Iberia with the support of external local law firms. Participating in the development and implementation of labor relations strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives. Guaranteeing adherence to labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Expatriate and International Assignments: Managing the process of expatriate assignments and international transfers, including immigration, work permits, relocation support, and expatriate compensation packages. Collaborating with internal partners and external vendors to ensure a smooth transition for employees working internationally.
  • Organizational Efficiency: Identifying and implementing strategies, processes, and initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's operations.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and practices that align with employment laws and regulations. Ensuring consistency and fairness in HR practices and encouraging a positive work culture.
  • Travel required - 10%
