Job Title: Sales Account Manager for Functional Ingredients

We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager for our Functional Ingredients & Solutions (FIS) business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing our market position in South West Europe by locating, developing, defining, and capturing business opportunities and relationships for Corbion FIS.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage key and regional accounts and distributor sales on a daily basis, contacting them at all levels of R&D, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Communications.
  • Support product launches and introduction of new applications & solutions, in collaboration with other disciplines like Business Development, Applications Team, etc.
  • Provide technical support to customers, prospects, and distributors.
  • Collaborate with EMEA customer service team to manage customer interface.
  • Sales budget for key / regional accounts, as well as distributors for assigned territory.
  • Responsible for realization of business targets (revenues, volumes, prices, margins, pipeline).
  • Growth of project pipeline and execution / progress on active projects, in collaboration with Business Development, Applications, R&D, and / or other disciplines.
  • Develop and execute on tactical year planning for assigned territory in specific segments, accounts & distributors, following business strategies, action plans & initiatives.
  • Account & distributor management, relationship building, managing customer contacts, etc.
  • Contract negotiations and closing with support of internal functions, execute on pricing strategies.
  • Gather market trends and competitive information to identify new sales opportunities and realize growth.
  • Use and log all key activities in the MS-CRM system and other developed sales tools in Corbion.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience in technical sales in meat and / or savory ingredients (B2B), with solid track record of developing and running a sales territory.
  • BSc or MSc in Food Technology, Food Science or similar.
  • Proven ability to build and foster strategic partnerships with key customers and distributors.
  • Excellent skills in networking with people and building business relationships.
