Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team at Corbion. As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a key role in growing our market position in South West Europe by identifying, developing, and capturing business opportunities and relationships for our Functional Ingredients & Solutions business unit.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage key and regional accounts and distributor sales on a daily basis, building strong relationships with customers at all levels of R&D, procurement, marketing, quality, production, regulatory affairs, and communications.
  2. Support product launches and introduce new applications and solutions in collaboration with other disciplines such as business development and applications teams.
  3. Provide technical support to customers, prospects, and distributors, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
  4. Collaborate with the EMEA customer service team to manage customer interface and ensure seamless communication.
  5. Develop and execute sales budgets for key and regional accounts, as well as distributors for assigned territories.
  6. Drive business growth by realizing revenue, volume, price, and margin targets for customers.
  7. Grow the project pipeline and execute on active projects in collaboration with business development, applications, R&D, and other disciplines.
  8. Develop and execute tactical year plans for assigned territories, aligning with business strategies, action plans, and initiatives.
  9. Support product launches and introduce new applications and solutions in collaboration with other disciplines.
  10. Provide sales and technical support to customers, prospects, and distributors.
  11. Manage accounts and distributors, build relationships, and maintain customer contacts.
  12. Negotiate contracts and close deals with support from internal functions, executing pricing strategies.
  13. Collaborate with demand planning to implement accurate account forecasting.
  14. Gather market trends and competitive information to identify new sales opportunities and drive growth.
  15. Utilize and log key activities in the MS-CRM system and other developed sales tools within Corbion.
Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned functional ingredients sales manager with a focus on driving growth:

  1. Strong customer focus and result-oriented approach.
  2. At least 8 years of experience in technical sales in meat and/or savory ingredients (B2B), with a solid track record of developing and running a sales territory.
  3. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  4. Proven ability to build and foster strategic partnerships with key customers and distributors.
  5. Excellent networking and business relationship-building skills.
  6. Proven effective interfacing with and influencing customers at all levels and functions.
  7. Skilled in sales planning, prospecting, and closing business deals.
  8. Direct involvement in the complete technical sales cycle, including formal customer presentations, technical discussions, product trials, overcoming objections, negotiations, and closing supply agreements/contracts.
  9. Ability to understand and sell to customer needs.
  10. Recognized for ability to work across an organization and cross-functionally on new business development projects.
  11. Flexible and adaptable to change and passionate about delivering results.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM reporting tools, and PowerPoint.
  13. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
