About the Role

MongoDB is a leading modern data platform that empowers innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries. As a Senior Sales Operations Strategist, you will play a critical role in helping our Sales organization go faster and grow faster. You will analyze inefficient business rules, pilot new sales roles, optimize for obstacles in the sales process, and analyze sales data to come up with meaningful business insights.

This is a unique opportunity to join our Strategy and Planning team, part of our broader Sales Operations team, and drive forward initiatives that will help us unlock sales revenue. You will be responsible for learning the ins and outs of each major MongoDB Sales Business, building relationships with senior leadership, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the analytical rhythm of our business, including quarterly business reviews and organizational deep dives
  • Partner with Senior Sales leadership to drive market and segment-specific analyses to uncover insights
  • Become an expert in business and compensation rules to fully understand how Sales operates
  • Conceptualize and pilot new programs to test the effectiveness of various sales roles and compensation plans
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business planning for the Sales teams
  • Collaborate with various business units to drive productivity and headcount scenario analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of work experience in either Sales Strategy, Consulting, Sales Operations, or Analytics
  • Effective communicator who can break down convoluted technical concepts into simple business vernacular
  • Ability to write SQL queries to extract data needed for analysis
  • Experience with at least one major business intelligence tool (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
  • Familiarity with databases and the differences between relational and non-relational databases
  • Ability to navigate Salesforce with relative ease
