Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Sales Manager to join our team in this key field-based role. The successful candidate will lead an area field force of Account Managers (AM) and be responsible for executing business strategies and centrally developed marketing programs with the team.

The Area Business Manager works closely with other functions, including Marketing, Technical teams, Learning & Development, Business Effectiveness and Commercial Operations, to deliver upon programs and strategies. This role contributes to the overall success of Zoetis by leading a team that delivers and exceeds sales growth & market share gain targets for designated product lines in the specified area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Field Force team to develop and maintain effective account plans, applying a strategic overview and sound commercial thinking.
  • Maintain expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends.
  • Ensure the necessary recording of call activity takes place. Monitor the input of customer information and call reports to the CRM system.
  • Drive best-in-class sales execution with the team. Ensure a detailed and practical understanding of the Solution Selling model exists, is bought into and is leveraged.
  • Manage the performance of team members on a regular and consistent basis. Manage performance and behaviors day-to-day and when required use formal people processes; performance management, training & development, individual development plans and talent & succession planning.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience as a successful field sales representative and remote team management experience. You will also be an experienced people developer, coach, mentor and manager, with a strong analytical background and excellent communication skills.

Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off and career development opportunities.
