About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ATC ERTMS On Board Design Engineer to join our team at ALSTOM. As an On Board Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and installation of ERTMS systems on board trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Verification: Verify the correct installation of ERTMS systems on board trains.
  • Technical Management: Manage the technical aspects of ERTMS system installation, including configuration, change control, and requirements.
  • Solve Technical Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERTMS system installation.
  • System Performance: Ensure the overall performance of the ERTMS system and allocate project performance requirements.
  • Data Management: Collect and maintain technical data related to ERTMS system installation.
  • Gate Reviews: Participate in gate reviews to provide status updates on system activities.
  • Project Support: Support application projects in ATC ONB current and future projects.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree (MEng preferably) in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes.
  • Experience: 1 or 2 years of internal experience as Onboard Railways Engineer or similar in other markets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with signalling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, installation design, installation verification, and data preparation.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with French as a desirable language skill.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and CAD application usage.
