About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ATC Onboard Design Engineer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing a fully functional ATC Onboard System Description & Installation Proposal, working closely with teams across the business to ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Verification: Ensure that the ATC Onboard System is properly installed and verified to meet the required specifications.
  • Technical Management: Oversee the technical aspects of the project, including configuration, change control, and requirements management.
  • Solve Technical Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the application project.
  • System Performance: Take responsibility for the overall performance of the system and ensure that the project performance requirements are met.
  • Technical Data Management: Collect and maintain technical data, including the Data Book, to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Gate Reviews: Participate in Gate Reviews to provide status updates on system activities.
  • Application Project Support: Provide support to application projects in ATC ONB current and future projects.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes.
  • 1-2 years of internal experience as Onboard Railways Engineer or similar in other markets.
  • Desirable: Technical knowledge of signalling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, installation design, installation verification, data preparation.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of UNISIG Subsets, especially Subset-026, 108, 027, & 076.
  • Command of English: fluent in conversation and mastered in reading and writing. French is desirable.
  • Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) CAD (electric/mechanic) application usage is an advantage.
