Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Onboard Railways Engineer at Alstom, you will be responsible for designing and implementing onboard railway systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include:
- System Design and Architecture: Develop and implement system architecture, interfaces, and installation designs to meet project requirements.
- Installation Verification: Verify the installation of onboard railway systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Technical Management: Manage technical aspects of onboard railway projects, including configuration, change control, and requirements management.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Identify and resolve technical issues related to onboard railway projects, providing expert technical support to project teams.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure the overall performance of onboard railway systems meets project requirements, allocating resources and implementing solutions to optimize system performance.
- Data Management: Collect and maintain technical data related to onboard railway projects, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Gate Reviews and Project Support: Participate in gate reviews, providing status updates on system activities, and support application projects in onboard railway current and future projects.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- University Degree: A degree in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes, preferably with a Master's degree.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an Onboard Railways Engineer or similar role in other markets, with at least 1 year of experience as a system engineer.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of signalling, ERTMS, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, installation design, installation verification, and data preparation.
- Language Skills: Fluent English language skills, with the ability to read, write, and converse fluently, and French language skills are desirable.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Windows environment, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
