Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ERTMS Onboard Design Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our Onboard Department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing ERTMS onboard systems for our rail projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ERTMS onboard system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RAMS, validation, and TC teams, to ensure seamless integration of onboard systems.
  • Liaise with RAM, Safety, and VV teams to communicate design requirements and decisions.
  • Manage installation verification and technical management, including configuration, change control, and requirements.
  • Solve technical issues related to application projects and ensure overall system performance meets project requirements.
  • Control the collection of technical data and maintain data books.
  • Participate in Gate Reviews and provide status updates on system activities.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience in onboard railways engineering or similar roles in other markets.
  • Desirable: Technical knowledge of signaling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, installation design, and installation verification.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of UNISIG Subsets, especially Subset-026, 108.
  • Fluent English language skills, with mastery in reading and writing.
  • French language skills desirable.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and CAD application usage.
