About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ATC ERTMS On Board Design Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our rail engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our rail signaling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop fully functional ATC On-Board System Descriptions and Installation Proposals, taking into account specific project requirements and standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop interfacing with other systems and ensure seamless integration.
  • Liaise with RAM, Safety, and V&V teams to ensure design requirements and decisions are properly communicated and assessed.
  • Take ownership of system design, including architecture, interfaces, and installation.
  • Manage technical issues and ensure the overall performance of the system meets project requirements.
  • Control the collection and maintenance of technical data and participate in Gate Reviews.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Onboard Railways Engineering or similar roles.
  • Desirable: Technical knowledge of signaling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, and installation verification.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of UNISIG Subsets, especially Subset-026, 108, 027, and 076.
  • Fluent English language skills, with mastery in reading and writing.
  • French language skills desirable.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and CAD applications.
