Head of Platform Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Platform Engineering to join our team at Stuart. As a key member of our Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for defining the Platform Engineering vision and strategy, working closely with stakeholders to create a roadmap for delivery, and adding value to our developers' lives by growing the Platform's features.
Key Responsibilities- Define and Implement Platform Engineering Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive Platform Engineering strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and other departments to create a cohesive and effective Platform Engineering roadmap.
- Grow Platform Features: Identify opportunities to enhance the Platform's features and capabilities, and work with development teams to implement these changes.
- Engage with Engineering Leadership: Participate in the Engineering Leadership Team to promote adoption of new features and technologies across the organization.
- Manage Remote Teams: Lead and manage remote teams in European and near-shore locations, creating a healthy and cooperative work environment.
- Develop and Execute Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews and create growth opportunities for team members.
- Strong Technical Background: Possess a strong technical background in cloud computing, with experience in AWS.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams.
- Software Development Knowledge: Good knowledge and experience with software development.
- Technical Management: Experience directly managing technical Engineering Managers.
- Product Mindset: Possess a product mindset to build an internal developer platform.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
