The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Platform Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for defining the Platform Engineering vision and strategy, working closely with stakeholders to create a roadmap for delivery, and driving continuous improvements to our cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Platform Engineering vision and strategy
- Work with teams and stakeholders to create a roadmap for delivery
- Add value to our developers' lives by growing the Platform's features
- Engage with peers in other engineering units to promote adoption of new features
- Provide tools that increase Stuart's reliability, availability, and scalability
- Manage remote teams in European and near-shore locations
- Create a healthy and cooperative environment within your teams
- Execute performance reviews and create growth opportunities for your people

We are looking for a strong technical background in cloud computing (AWS) and SRE experience, as well as a proven track record of leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams. You should have excellent verbal and written skills in English and be comfortable presenting to ExCo and interacting with senior leaders.
