About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Platform Engineering to join our team at Stuart. As a key member of our Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for defining the Platform Engineering vision and strategy, working closely with stakeholders to create a roadmap and deliver its objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Platform Engineering strategy to drive business growth and improve customer experience.
  • Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of new features.
  • Manage remote teams in European and near-shore locations, fostering a healthy and cooperative environment.
  • Execute performance reviews and create growth opportunities for team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in cloud computing (AWS) and SRE.
  • Experience leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams.
  • Good knowledge and experience with software development.
  • Experience managing technical Engineering Managers.
  • Capacity to run a department with several teams, composed of hybrid and remote members.
  • A product mindset to build an internal developer platform.
  • Ideal knowledge of Data Platform Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
