About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Platform Engineering to join our team at Stuart. As a key member of our Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for defining the Platform Engineering vision and strategy, working with cross-functional teams to create a roadmap and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Platform Engineering strategy to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and business leaders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Stuart remains competitive and innovative.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in cloud computing (AWS) and SRE.
- Experience leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams.
- Good knowledge and experience with software development.
- Experience managing technical Engineering Managers.
- Ability to run a department with multiple teams, including hybrid and remote team members.
- Product mindset to build an internal developer platform.
- Ideal experience with Data Platform Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
