We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Platform Engineering to lead our platform engineering team and drive the development and deployment of scalable, secure, and innovative platforms for software development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the platform engineering strategy in alignment with Allianz Technology's overall business goals.
- Define long-term strategy to develop developer platform ecosystem and continuously improve development efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the software development process, quality of code, and maturity of processes.
- Standardize the developer tool stack, remove redundancies, and optimize the usage and cost of development tools, ensuring adherence to Allianz policies and compliance requirements.
- Manage the team running ~30 critical development platform services.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Work closely with the security team to conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates and gather feedback.
