Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing all aspects of the Pastry & Bakery department operation. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage team and other stakeholders to achieve marketing and business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and direct all aspects of the Pastry & Bakery department operation
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team and other stakeholders to achieve marketing and business goals and objectives
Use your pastry expertise and skill to ensure our Pastry kitchen continues to excel in producing creative, innovative, and inspirational items
Bring delicious, creative, and bespoke flavors and creations to our guests' tables
Ensure our operation runs smoothly, orders and deliveries are managed effectively, and our service is exceptional
Support our Director of Culinary and Executive Chef on ideas and techniques that make our Pastry kitchen a creative and ever-changing environment
Nurture and develop the talent of the Pastry kitchen and wider team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them
Produce all food items required for the assigned kitchens, including banquets and restaurants
Control the ordering and requisitions to achieve budgeted costs
Work closely with other departments to conceptualize and implement dynamic marketing programs to drive marketing and PR activities for the pastry

Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a fast-moving, quality-driven, culinary team, as either an Executive Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef. You should have a passion for pastry and a desire to continue learning from the best in the industry. You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
