Environmental Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Tenneco. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing leadership and expertise to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EHS strategies and programs to achieve site targets and objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
- Work with leadership teams to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
- Determine leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Support the creation of EHS goals for site managers and leadership teams.
- Drive and promote a zero-incident EHS culture throughout the site.
- Facilitate EHS engagement through teams and committees.
- Work with leadership teams to complete annual evaluations of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Pursue third-party recognition for programs that establish the site and Tenneco's EHS program as world-class.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in health and safety program management and employee training in an industrial environment.
- Fluent English.
- Comprehension of industry, state, and country EHS requirements.
- Strong team-building and organizational skills.
- Adept at utilizing company-wide systems for reporting EHS data and information.
- Ability to demonstrate managerial courage and lead cross-functional EHS teams.
