Position Overview:
The HSE Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across various departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with safety services to conduct risk assessments for new facilities in partnership with external risk assessment firms.
- Working alongside Process Engineering and other teams to oversee the installation of new laboratory and prototype equipment.
- Establishing initial HSE protocols by formulating policies, key performance indicators, and standards.
- Creating strategies for waste management, reduction initiatives, and environmental practices.
- Ensuring adherence to legal requirements and maintaining relationships with local regulatory bodies.
The HSE Specialist is expected to work collaboratively with various teams and foster strong relationships within the R&D department.

Essential qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree in Health & Safety.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Chemical and/or Automotive sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ATEX regulations, CE marking, chemical handling, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to working creatively in an interdisciplinary and international setting.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish and other European languages is advantageous.
